3rd world in general (based on surveys) feels very hopeful about ai, dreaming it can bring about a more equal world where everyone's basic needs r met. while pampered western artists and white collar workers feel threatened and have nothing but vitriol for it. generally speaking. u have other reasons for hating tho

Not gonna lie, art is one thing dat middle class and my sense of patriotic superthridwordism intetsect. Middle class white urbanites care about it because it helps them having an identity and feel culturally sophisticated

Thrid world has culture that is unlike western one. White people mostly steal from it if they are too unimaginative. So, AI diluting culture gonna first of all have disastetous effects on thrid world art and culture before it has effect on western art. So, we are united in dat, people without art and culture are nothing more than slaves, it is unquestionable that we should uphold art in the society even if it seems to be captured by the elite class (it isnt really)

eh i dont' see it like dat. like now third worlders can have some hollywood quality scenarios generated. yes there's some cultural artistic erosion happening if every1 is using western movie making techniques, but there's still plenty room for distinction. like how china or japan etc have same technology for filmmaking as west, but the products r still distinctly chinese and japanese

I dunno wat you mean, but cultural borrowing isnt special and Chinese films will be Chinese no matter the technology by the only reason that they are made by Chinese. This is not wat I mean by AI dilution. It is just with time art is going to change by the influence of AI because people's preferences will change with more AI usage. So the culture will be dilluted in this sense literally, become even more steamlined and more striving to sameness and familiarity. People in Africa too have internet you know, and they too use AI, effects will be sane every where
