The art style isnt really that bad or boring. Its just that Hades 2 is kinda weak. It feels rushed, the mechanics are kinda weird, it is not well thought out. I dont like Hades 2 weapons maybe the cloak is cool but otherwise I dunno. The story in Hades 2 differs a lot and because Im evil Im gonna say that the story is far better in second Hades
So, yeah. Hades 1 is like Balatro, meant to be replsyable. First Hades is well thought out, it is clear and concise, the weapons all are fun to play. Hades 2 is like complicated version of Balatro, taking away the simplicity and it just doesnt feel right. But yeah, because Hades 2 has both underground and overground I prefer it any way
