It’s a mukbang/food reaction-style video, uploaded around late September 2026 (very recent, with barely a few hundred views when I checked).
The guy sits down to try various traditional West African dishes mostly Nigerian style for the first time; they were prepared for him at home by "a genuine African person," and he’d kept them frozen for like five damn months. It’s not from a restaurant or a supermarket; it’s real homemade food.
The guy starts by saying hello and promoting a powdered drink brand called HOLY (he lists discount codes in the description: ENGLISHEATS and ENGLISHEATS5); he drinks an iced apple & green tea version of the stuff and says it smells stronger than it tastes.
Then he dives into the African food:
• Jollof rice (he pronounces it "Jolov" or "Golov"): Well seasoned red rice. He loves it, calling it delicious and hot. He ranks it as one of his favorites.
• Fufu: That ball of white dough (made from cassava or plantain). He says it has no flavor like eating bland dumplings. He finds it tasteless.
• Egusi (he pronounces it "Egosi" or "Egousi"): A thick soup made from ground melon seeds. He thinks it’s really tasty, with just the right amount of salt. By the end, he almost names it his absolute favorite.
• Okra (okra with chicken): The okra is incredibly slimy/mucilaginous. He’s freaked out by the slime, saying it looks gross and that the texture is the hardest part for him to handle, even though the flavor is mild. •Fried plantains: He absolutely loves them; he says he adores bananas/plantains.
•Egg omelet: An African-style egg omelet with vegetables. He’s surprised by how tasty it is, compares it to a Chinese omelet, and suspects it contains MSG because it tastes “like Chinese food” to him.
He tries everything, makes faces, complains about the stickiness of the okra, gets full, and comes up with crazy ideas (putting fufu balls into a stew like dumplings, combining jollof with Indian curry, or even using it as a base for sushi). The whole video is laid-back, a bit clumsy with pronunciations, and full of “oh man, this is delicious / this is sticky as fuck.”
