>>241387i dont know morty. who knows any of that stuff. finland has highest amount of unemployment in all of europe at the moment, but this speaks more of a global trend. One of the reasons is because there is no that many low entry jobs any more. But its same with higher entry jobs, companies cant scale their business up anymore, so they are not hiring. In other words there just isnt enough work for everybody, at least not the way the things currently are.
the book anarchist banker is more like satire, is not about addressing anything, so it puts less importance on the guy questioning him, although he does question him, but maybe not the best way one could, but this isnt the point. The point is, in my opinion at least, is somewhat about egoism, the banker was in anarchist movements, but he was unsatisfied by the ways of other anarchists, so he kinda created his own philosophy. But, because of his ego, he dont want to admit that he was wrong, so he creates this logic how he is true anarchist and the other arent, just to justify him being a banker. In other words its satire about ego and how people go great lengths to use logic to justify themselves, even if its not factually correct.
so yeah, like you say u see this with these "influencer" socialist and so on.. its not that mindblowing book or anything, but i guess it was funny short read.
the human value is alway redefined, i wouldnt worry so much about it. people made these human value arguments before the industrial revoltion too (or so ive heard). We dont really have a gift of foreseeing, so whats the point to speculate most negative scenario? How is the currect way of doing things and how work is distributed just anyhow? i say, tear it all down, then and only then can new meaning emerge. yet still i completely understand people are afraid of it and bitter, "what about my work, i still had value to create cant world just slow down a little bit", but the world doesnt wait or slow down.
if you think about the world it goes somehow like this:
- first human was hunter-gatherer and nature was the boss
- then he learned to control nature via farming and cattle so gods and in the sky become boss (because u cant still control rain and seasons which farming depends on)
- then a guy claimed he know these gods, so the king and priests become the boss
- then a scie
