 No.240756[Reply]

In a certain office, right now, this instant, a paper pusher must stand around the printer. Waiting and waiting for the day to end, for the ink to end, for the paper to end, but there is no end in sight. When the day ends, the new day begins and then the same cycle of paperpushery continues. The same printer, the same guy, the same wish for some distant end which never quite comes

On the beach of a great body of water someone must wish for a magical solution. To throw your wish into the water like a stone, and hope for nothing but good, nothing but the best. Only to then join in with your boss to a drinking party, wasting own time to appease someone who demands respect only. Gives in return an opportunity back, some vague notion of a corporation and how the good for it is the good for us all. And this sincere hope dat you sunk into the ocean like the gold from a ship wells up to float like a plank of wood. More printer paper for you, with all the best wishes

Someone right now, in a good office, reads a story. Of an old invalid with a hard life, of an woman which lost all of dat she ever loved, dat says nothing to the person in the position of a sitting authority. The job is simple, to make a decision just right how it is written in the rulebook. This sitting authority exist everywhere, wherever you go behind every interaction you have, be it buying a milk or paying taxes, you cannot escape being written about and made a decision about. Someone has to calculate your taxes, that much is intuitively true. Otherwise how would the government know how much do you owe it? And then this information flows from one sitting authority to other, to a check and a double check and analysis and maybe even for an amusement of sorts for those who view human life as nothing but series of monographs, detailed expenditures and likes, locations and all the signed documents which allow it all to happen

If you ever could sell your soul then this is wat it would look like after. Your energy is being sucked by a giant system of lifeless offices, bored people and formalities to which no sense exist. Which paper would you sign, it doesnt matter, since your birth youve been put to the account of someone, somewhere, and now this someone constantly writes about you, knows you more than own family and wife. You are, as your total whole, as your life, is written somwhere in a box, splintered and fragmented it lies throughout all the authorities which authorized Post too long. yenisei have you read a book called anarchist banker?

its about banker who claims he is a true anarchist

the book makes you think, because it shows that by just using logic you can justify almost anything no matter how absurd it sounds first

in future when work is abolished, they should pay compensation for people who used to work hard

kinda like how they pay war veterans. you know, you had a hard life so you get to buy more toys than average. isnt that just fair?

because aint no way they are gonna abolish money

>>241129
Well, there is no abolishing office. Because it is an instrument of control first and foremost, and as you know if people have power they try their best to keep it… Just because automation is possible doesnt mean our position is gonna improve and much more likely is dat our position as people will degrade in such a quality dat our rights will not include in it a right to dignity. Why? If everything is automated, how will be earnings be redistributed if it is even profitable and if they arent redistributed then how will people live if there no job
>>241130
Well, I tried to read it and it is not about logic at first sight. It is presumed that banker is wrong but he is not being actively proven wrong. There is a big asymmetry between the banker and the guy, the guy just lets the banker speak without engaging with him properly. This is a hat trick, so, Ill just call it a schizophrenic rhetoric. Why? Have you ever noticed that people who think dat they are made of glass have weirdly iron logic? Dat if they are made of glass then perhaps they think dat if they fall then they are gonna break. So, theyll wrap themselves into an quill. It is both correct and incorrect, correct logically and not factually correct. But for the guy who think dat he is glass it is factual, so, his logic at least for him is sound. This is very similar to the banker, if he is to be unrestrained and you have a disposition for agreeing with him, then it doesnt matter if wat he says is true or not. Because of asymmetry between you and the banker, he has more power over you and you have less power over yourself. Why? Willing to entertain is just one step from agreeing, sometimes you have to not will to entertain even if the information looks plausible. If there is even a little doubt, you have to not will to entertain. So, if you are willing to entertain that banker can be anarchist in the first place, then you can be persuaded. This is where asymmetry of power is important, the banker has power to continue his thoughts in the ideal way, exactly as he is intended. So, wat I want to say is dat the banker has no intention for being honest and so he should be not be listened to and he is little different from the guy who thinks he is made of glass

However, the idea dat banker mighPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

i dont know morty. who knows any of that stuff. finland has highest amount of unemployment in all of europe at the moment, but this speaks more of a global trend. One of the reasons is because there is no that many low entry jobs any more. But its same with higher entry jobs, companies cant scale their business up anymore, so they are not hiring. In other words there just isnt enough work for everybody, at least not the way the things currently are.

the book anarchist banker is more like satire, is not about addressing anything, so it puts less importance on the guy questioning him, although he does question him, but maybe not the best way one could, but this isnt the point. The point is, in my opinion at least, is somewhat about egoism, the banker was in anarchist movements, but he was unsatisfied by the ways of other anarchists, so he kinda created his own philosophy. But, because of his ego, he dont want to admit that he was wrong, so he creates this logic how he is true anarchist and the other arent, just to justify him being a banker. In other words its satire about ego and how people go great lengths to use logic to justify themselves, even if its not factually correct.

so yeah, like you say u see this with these "influencer" socialist and so on.. its not that mindblowing book or anything, but i guess it was funny short read.

the human value is alway redefined, i wouldnt worry so much about it. people made these human value arguments before the industrial revoltion too (or so ive heard). We dont really have a gift of foreseeing, so whats the point to speculate most negative scenario? How is the currect way of doing things and how work is distributed just anyhow? i say, tear it all down, then and only then can new meaning emerge. yet still i completely understand people are afraid of it and bitter, "what about my work, i still had value to create cant world just slow down a little bit", but the world doesnt wait or slow down.

if you think about the world it goes somehow like this:

- first human was hunter-gatherer and nature was the boss
- then he learned to control nature via farming and cattle so gods and in the sky become boss (because u cant still control rain and seasons which farming depends on)
- then a guy claimed he know these gods, so the king and priests become the boss
- then a sciePost too long. Click here to view the full text.

 No.241864

I wouldn't buy a new car, they lose value too fast and you probably don't need that extra reliability. I would just buy used and invest the rest.
post 2020 cars have too much electronic bullshit in them so unless you specifically want some driving assists in the spirit of self driving, scratch the idea. You could test out the waters with used cars when it comes to building connections with a good mechanic shop locally too if you are not into fixing your own shit.
