Any way, practical knowledge is valued more than theoretical one in most of the situations in life. Skills and like are mostly about practice, more of an active study thing. This might be not really a sensible distinction though. Nothing really prevents you from learning a skill, just it implies some deep understanding… Any way, there is nothing special in learning or studying, it is not the same as knowing any way, learning is more of an academic thing and it is not really as positive or at least as universal (intuitive way of knowing is as valid as an empirical one)
Wat comes after. On the the state exam you have to choose school subjects and then using the results of them you can apply to universities and colleges and stuff. Universities have defined targets for university specialities and usually it is three unified state exam school subjects and or an university entrance exam. Free (budget) quotas have higher requirements for the test results than for paid, but it is possible to get accepted on free quota if studying a little more (in Russia, colleges are more popular these days so universities are not terribly competitive) (so I do have high hopes this time)
Eh, dont worry about it. The more you'll be depressed the more it will do you no good. If you don't feel like doing anything, dats fine, try to feel better and stuff. There is no correct way of living, but if you want to improve, then thats fine but you can only improve for yourself and it is not easy to do, and very slow…
